Terms of Service #

Effective Date: March 23, 2026

Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using StoryLingo (“the App”) developed by ViZi (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By downloading, installing, or using StoryLingo, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Description of Service #

StoryLingo is a free mobile application for language learning. It allows you to:

  • Import AI-generated stories by copying prompt templates and pasting responses from third-party AI services
  • Study one sentence per day with grammar notes and contextual explanations
  • Build vocabulary from story content with dictionary lookup
  • Review vocabulary using a scientifically-proven spaced repetition algorithm for long-term retention
  • Track your daily learning streak

Your learning data is stored locally on your device. The App uses Firebase Analytics and Google AdMob, which require an internet connection. The core learning experience works offline.

2. Eligibility #

StoryLingo is designed for users aged 13 and older. The App contains no mature content, no social features, and is ad-supported through Google AdMob.

3. User Accounts #

StoryLingo does not require user accounts, registration, or login. The App functions entirely without collecting personal information.

4. Free to Use #

StoryLingo is provided free of charge. There are no in-app purchases, subscriptions, or paid features in this version.

5. Third-Party AI Services #

StoryLingo’s story import workflow involves copying prompt templates and using them with third-party AI services (such as OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Anthropic’s Claude, or Google’s Gemini). When using these services:

  • You are subject to those services’ own Terms of Service and Privacy Policies
  • You are responsible for the AI-generated content you choose to import into the App
  • We have no affiliation with and no control over third-party AI services
  • We do not send any data to AI services on your behalf

6. Acceptable Use #

When using StoryLingo, you agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Distribute, sell, or sublicense the App
  • Import content that is illegal, harmful, or violates any applicable laws
  • Attempt to circumvent any security or access control features of the App

7. User Content #

You are solely responsible for the content you import into StoryLingo (AI-generated stories, vocabulary, notes). We:

  • Do not access, store, or transmit your content — it stays on your device
  • Do not review or moderate the content you import
  • Are not liable for the accuracy of AI-generated learning content

Language learning content generated by AI services may contain errors. Always verify important information with authoritative sources.

8. Intellectual Property #

StoryLingo, including its design, code, and branding, is the intellectual property of ViZi. You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute the App or its code
  • Use StoryLingo’s name, logo, or branding without written permission
  • Create derivative works based on the App

The learning content you import and create belongs to you.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties #

StoryLingo is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

  • The App will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • Review scheduling will produce any specific learning outcome
  • AI-generated story content imported through the App will be linguistically accurate
  • The App will meet your specific learning goals

10. Limitation of Liability #

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ViZi shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of StoryLingo, including but not limited to:

  • Learning outcomes or language proficiency results
  • Inaccurate content in AI-generated stories
  • Loss of learning data stored on your device
  • Device or data issues arising from App use

11. Indemnification #

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ViZi from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

12. Termination #

We reserve the right to discontinue or update StoryLingo at any time. If the App is removed from app stores, you may continue to use any version already installed on your device.

13. Changes to Terms #

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law #

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
